Light is faster than sound

I have undeniable proof that light is faster than sound.

Have you ever seen someone walking toward you that is well dressed, well groomed, and appears to be model citizen? They appear to be intelligent, that is until the open their mouths and begin to speak...

Proverbs 17:28 Even fools are thought to be wise when they keep silent; when they keep their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

The book of Proverbs speaks about fools quite often. I noticed a pattern or common feature of a fool in this chapter. Look at these verse segments.

...violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
...a chattering fool comes to ruin.
...a chattering fool comes to ruin.
...the mouth of a fool invites ruin.
...whoever spreads slander is a fool.

Do you see the common trait? It is the mouth. As Jesus said in Mark 12:34 and in Luke 6:45, "For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." That which is inside comes out and then is discernible to all. James chapter three speaks of the power of the tongue. It is described as a tiny thing, yet able to do incredible good or harm. James 1:5 says that if any Christ-follower lacks wisdom (is a fool), they should ask God for wisdom and God will give it to him.

A good rule of thumb is; if in doubt, keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool, rather than speak and remove all doubt.

Don't be the fool.
