Anyone who has been a part of a discussion either at Wildmen or Real Men about the necessity of every Christ Follower to start his day by "going to the cross" and reckoning himself as dead in the flesh; and then to ask his heavenly Father to give him His Spirit so the rivers of living water flow out of his innermost being, and by this we are talking about the Holy Spirit; and have not resonated with this assertion for whatever reason, please watch the video at this link: http://www.worldinvisible.com/avlib/html_sermons/GOD

My comments are meant for Christ Followers ONLY. A Christ Follower by definition has already been born again, which was the RESULT of receiving the gift of salvation from Jesus as Savior and Lord. We were in Jesus as He was scourged, crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and sits on His throne (SEE Ephesians 1 and 2). That is SALVATION which happened once in each Christ Followers life.
Just as we had FAITH in the BLOOD of Jesus to pay for our SINS in full; we NOW need to RETURN to the cross daily in order to execise our FAITH in the BODY of Jesus to break the POWER of SIN in our body. (SEE the example of gathering manna DAILY in the OT).
Jesus commanded that if one was to BE His disciple, that person has to DAILY deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow Jesus. "...", what does this command mean to you? Do you obey this specific command of Jesus DAILY? If so, HOW do you do it? If not, do you consider yourself as a disciple of Jesus?
In order to EXPERIENCE and WALK in the resurrected life, I believe Jesus gave us the clear commands to follow to do so: 1)Deny self/crucify flesh, and 2) Ask the Father to give us His Spirit so that the Holy Spirit would FLOW OUT of us like RIVERS of living water. How often? How often do you want to walk in His Spirit and bear MUCH FRUIT as we learned in The Secrets of the Vine. This is abiding, or living , IN CHRIST.
