Laugh Often

It has been said that Laughter it the best medicine.

"Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them." Psalm 126:2 NKJV

"Humor is to life what shock absorbers are to automobiles." Unknown

"A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road." Henry Ward Beecher

If you remember what we learnt when Mike Rozel was in town about "Guarding our Gates" and take it full circle to what we watch on TV our "eye gates" try to watch funny shows on TV, like comedy shows as opposed to all the senseless violence that is on TV.

It will be a challenge for you, last night I turned on the tube and with all the channels I could not find anything on worth watching. This may sound silly to some but someone said to me would I watch that with Jesus sitting on the couch with me and as I turned the channel I was embarrassed.

There is another old saying: "Garbage in..... Garbage out" watch what you let in because it will effect what you put out.... Guard your heart every day.

  1. Peter,

Its not just violent shows you need to be aware of. Funny or comdedy shows can be just as dangerous, with sexual immorality, bigotry, godlessness, etc.

Think of Desperate Houswives, Sex in the City or Two and a Half Men, just to name a few.

  2. Very True, I never looked at those shows as being bad but two and a half men maybe very funny but what it shows is not.

    Thanks
